GatewayChanger

For shared clinics, franchises and marketplaces

One website. Many businesses. Each one paid directly.

Your rules decide which business takes each payment — the room, the consultant, the seller. Its own payment account takes the card, so the money goes straight to it. It never passes through you, and card data never reaches us.

  • No card data on our servers
  • No funds held, no payouts to run

Illustrative example — the businesses in the demo are invented.

  • Card data never reaches us

The payment form belongs to the business that charges.

  • Money goes straight to them

We hold no funds and run no payouts.

  • Every decision is signed

Each answer is signed and kept with its full trace.

  • One ledger for everyone

Who sold, who charged, refunds and monthly totals.

How it works

Four steps. Nothing changes for your customer.

We are asked one question before the payment form appears: which business charges this order? Everything after that happens directly between the shops.

  1. Step 1

The customer checks out on your website

Bookings, consultations or goods: one website, one checkout, one brand. Customers pay exactly as they always have.

  2. Step 2

    Your rules pick the business

The room, the consultant, the seller, the country, the amount or a monthly limit decides who charges. We sign the answer.

  3. Step 3

Its own payment account takes the card

The payment form comes from the chosen business and its own processor, such as Stripe. The customer is told who charges them.

  4. Step 4

Everyone sees it in one ledger

Who sold, who charged, refunds and what one business owes another — on one statement, with nothing to pay out.

Use cases

Built for websites that sell for several businesses — or for several accounts.

The website brings the customer, and the payment goes straight to the business — or the account — it belongs to.

All four stories

Illustrative examples. Linden House, Meridian FX, Attic & Oak and Copper Spade are not real companies.

Your customers’ card data

Card details go to the business that charges. Never to us.

There is no field for a card number anywhere in our system — not in the API, not in the database. The payment form is served by the business that charges, together with its own payment provider.

What we never receive

  • Card numbers
  • Security codes (CVV)
  • Card expiry dates
  • Processor keys in readable form
  • Your customers’ money
  • Payouts to run for anyone

What we do keep is what a ledger needs: amounts and currencies, payment status, the card brand and last four digits, order references and the trace of every routing decision.

How we handle data

Rules in plain language

Rules you can read out loud.

Rules run from top to bottom and the first one that matches decides. If that business cannot take the payment right now, the next one in line does.

  • Read the products in the basket, the amount, the currency and the customer’s country.
  • Respect daily and monthly limits for each business.
  • Skip a business whose shop is offline or whose payment account is switched off.
  • Try any rule with a pretend order before it goes live.

Month end

One ledger. No payouts.

Every payment, refund and dispute lands in one ledger with both order numbers and the processor reference. The monthly statement is the number one business invoices the other — rent, commission or a franchise fee.

  • Statements per business, per currency and per month.
  • CSV export, the API and signed webhooks for your own accounting.
  • We produce the numbers. We never move the money.

Questions

What people ask us first.

Something else on your mind? Write to us — a person answers.

Do you ever see our customers’ card details?

No. The payment form comes from the business that charges, and the card details go from the customer’s browser to that business’s payment provider. Our system has no field for a card number, a security code or an expiry date. We only receive the outcome: amount, status, card brand and the last four digits.

Who does the customer actually pay?

The business that delivers — the practitioner, the consultant’s office, the seller. It is named in the checkout, the customer agrees to it with a required checkbox, and its name is on the receipt.

Do we need a licence or permission to work like this?

That depends on what you sell and where. Each business that takes payments is responsible for its own merchant agreement and for any licence, registration or permission its activity needs — financial advice and medical treatments are typical examples — and should tell its payment provider how it uses its account. We do not give legal advice; the compliance page explains what stays with each shop.

Who handles refunds and chargebacks?

The business that charged, because it holds the payment and the merchant agreement. The consent the customer gave, with its timestamp, is stored on both orders as evidence.

What happens if one business’s shop is offline?

Every shop checks in with us every few minutes. A shop that stops checking in is taken out of routing and the next business in your rule takes the order. A declined card is never re-routed — the customer simply tries another card.

How do rent, commission or franchise fees get paid?

From the monthly statement. It shows what each business sold and charged, and you invoice your share from it. We never hold or move money.

Can we use it with only our own payment accounts?

Yes. One shop can route its own orders between its own payment accounts — high-risk goods to its high-risk acquirer, everything else to Stripe, with a backup account if one fails. There is no second shop, and the customer sees no extra checkbox. Each account must still be approved for what you send it.

What does it cost?

You pay per connected shop, billed yearly — never a percentage of your sales and never per transaction. The sandbox is free and never expires.
